Über dieses Rennen
Tesla Hertz Run is a trail race series in Rocky Point, New York, offering distances from 10 miles to 150 miles. The longest race begins Friday evening. The 100 mile, 100k, 50 mile, and 50k races start Saturday morning. Night races commence Saturday evening, and an additional 10 mile race starts Sunday morning. All distances utilize the same 10.48 mile loop, requiring runners to complete it once, a few times, or up to 15 times before the Monday morning course cutoff.
The loop starts at the northern end of the Pine Barrens Long Island Greenbelt Trail and is almost entirely trail, featuring only two road crossings. It follows a well-maintained section of the Greenbelt, providing runners with technical footing, soft sand, rolling hills, and a small elevation change around mile 8 of each loop. The route is marked with pink and reflective flagging, along with arrows at difficult navigation points, making it accessible for newer trail runners concerned about getting lost. Two aid stations are equipped with portable toilets and Hylē Hydration, offering ultra staples such as PB&J, pretzels, chips, candy, fruit, broth, and perogies, with pizza, burgers, and hot dogs sometimes available later. Crews may use drop bags, but runners are accountable for their crew's and pacer's conduct. Crews are requested not to meet runners at the road crossings due to narrow shoulders.
