Über dieses Rennen
The Florida Run @ Colt Creek State Park is a trail race in Lakeland, Florida, featuring four distances utilizing the same 14-mile park loop. The longest distance is the 60-mile Colt Double Malt, preceding the Original Colt 45 at 45 miles, the Colt Silver at 45K, and the Colt Mini at 14 miles. Races commence in the morning and the course remains open until late evening, accommodating runners completing one loop up to a full day of running.
The Original Colt 45 consists of three 14-mile loops plus a 3-mile starter loop, with the 60-miler including an additional loop. The 45K participants run two loops, and the Mini participants run one. Each loop provides aid at miles 3, 5.6, and 11, as well as at the start/finish near mile 14. Runners are advised to carry at least a handheld bottle, as the longest stretch between aid stations is slightly over 5 miles. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in each distance; all other finishers receive handcrafted medals. Participants are encouraged to remain for a picnic and to support those still finishing.
