The Peachtree City Classic 5K/15K

The Peachtree City Classic, a 5K and 15K running event, takes place in Peachtree City, Georgia, in October at 201 McIntosh Trail. Both races begin in the morning on USATF-certified courses. The 5K serves as a Peachtree Road Race qualifier, and the 15K holds RRCA State Championship status, offering runners a choice between a shorter qualifying race and a longer championship-distance event. The courses utilize Peachtree City’s paved golf cart paths, distinguishing the race from those on typical road shoulders and contributing to its local character. Participants will run past lakes, greenbelt areas, tunnels, and bridges within the city’s path network. Established in 1981, the event sees high participant retention, with nearly 80% returning annually. Georgia Athlete Magazine recognized it as Best Course, acknowledging a route designed around the city’s unique trail system instead of a conventional street circuit.
