The Alpina Zeitfahrcup is a small Austrian time-trial series organized by HRC Wolfsberg. It includes rounds in locations such as Lavamünd, Frantschach/St. Gertraud, St. Paul, and Mostland. Participants compete individually against the clock. The “Jedermann” designation indicates it is open to amateur riders, not exclusively licensed specialists. The series begins in May and runs through midsummer. Start times are posted online once entries and payments are received.
The first event is the Lavanttaler Zeitfahr-Cup für Jedermann. This is a 12.4 km out-and-back course starting at the Lavamünd power plant, heading along the B80 towards Kraftwerk Schwabegg and the Zeil turn, with the finish near the Lavamünd sports field. This round also contributes to the Kärnten Sport Jedermann-Cup and offers prizes from the municipality of Lavamünd. The Frantschach event is shorter but has more climbing: 8.5 km from the village square in Frantschach/St. Gertraud along the L 148 towards Obergössl, featuring 660 meters of elevation gain.
