Aquathlon Fürstenfeld

Thermentriathlon Fürstenfeld is a July triathlon event at the Freibad Fürstenfeld in Styria, Austria. It offers races for full triathlon participants and swim-run aquathlon entrants. The primary triathlon distances are an Olympic distance (1.5 km swim, 37 km bike, 10 km run) and a Sprint distance (750 m swim, 17 km bike, 5 km run). Sprint relay entries are available, with timing managed by Hightech Timing. The aquathlon races extend the event's reach beyond a typical triathlon program, featuring swim-run distances ranging from 50 m/500 m to 750 m/5 km. The Olympic race also serves as the Styrian Championship, attracting competitive athletes alongside local club racers and novices. A recent event saw approximately 400 participants, supported by spectators, families, sponsors, partners, and volunteers. Finishers were awarded Kernöl, Styrian pumpkin seed oil, adding a local element to the customary medal and results.
