Cyclodome is a two-day cycling event in Salzburg’s Old Town, held in September as the opener of the city and state-backed Week of Sports. Its main races are a road-bike criterium and a mountain bike eliminator, moving the program from fast laps on tarmac to short, obstacle-heavy mountain bike racing in the same historic city setting.
The road criterium uses a 1 km circuit through the Old Town and is split into Women Elite and Men Elite races, with Austrian and international professionals from established teams on the start list. The mountain bike eliminator also runs on a 1 km course, with demanding obstacles and separate racing for young riders in the Austria Youngsters Cup, then junior through elite categories. Visitors also get a supporting program, a livestream, and a celebrity race tied to charity projects.
