The Kufsteinerland Radmarathon begins in the fortress town of Kufstein, leading road cyclists directly into Tyrolean climbing terrain. This late-summer road cycling event offers three route options, an e-bike category, and an overall classification. Participants can choose anything from a shorter panorama ride to the full marathon distance.
The primary route covers approximately 120 km with 1,800 meters of elevation gain. Previous course iterations have featured a longer 124 km marathon route with 2,000 meters of elevation. Starting from Kufstein, the road ascends sharply towards Thiersee, subsequently alternating between challenging climbs and gentler inclines throughout the Kufsteinerland region. The event is part of the Tiroler Rennrad Cup and attracts a diverse field. Recent editions have seen all available spots filled, with over 1,500 participants from 35 nations, and a growing number of women riders constituting one-fifth of all entrants.
