The Wallerseelauf race day begins and ends at the Sportmittelschule in Seekirchen am Wallersee, located in Austria’s Salzburg region. The primary event is the Raiffeisen Wallerseelauf, a 21 km half marathon circling the Wallersee area, complemented by the 10 km Dihag Rupertilauf. The schedule also includes a 3.3 km Nordic Walking event, a two-person relay where each participant runs 10.5 km, and children’s races ranging from 100 m to 1,600 m.
The route consists of paved paths and asphalt, with certain segments closed to public traffic and marshals guiding participants. Skiclub Seekirchen organizes the event, with proceeds benefiting youth development. Participating children receive a T-shirt, timing is managed via a bib transponder, and the post-race amenities offer food and drink. Awards presented are age-group trophies, merchandise prizes, and prize money for the day's fastest female and male finishers.
