Sturm auf die Warte is a short uphill mountain sprint in Lower Austria, beginning in Zöbing on Kellergasse am Heiligenstein and concluding at the Aussichtswarte. The race takes place in November, organized by ULC Langenlois. It covers just 1.6 km but gains 130 meters in elevation, presenting as a brief, intense climb rather than a typical road race.
The course proceeds unidirectionally: upward. The majority of the ascent occurs within the final 700 meters, resulting in a significantly steeper second half compared to the initial section. Participants are released in four waves determined by their stated 10 km times, a practical arrangement for a constrained uphill finish at the lookout tower. Quick runners have completed the course in under eight minutes; Jan Schiebl's time was 7:39 and Philip Gintenstorfer's was 8:14. Local club and multisport athletes also feature prominently in the lower rankings.
