The Vienna Halloween Run is a Halloween-themed evening race in Vienna, focusing on costumes, spooky decorations, and short distances instead of a traditional road-race atmosphere. This is the series' second year, following its first edition which saw over 1,300 participants. Runners can select the 5 km Big Scare Run or the 2.5 km Little Fear Run, with the latter designed for families and casual participants.
The course is decorated with Halloween themes, and the start line aims for a haunted night out feel rather than a subdued fitness event. The 5 km race utilizes two start blocks, separating faster runners from those anticipating a slower pace, and includes awards for the top three male and female finishers. The Little Fear Run begins earlier in the evening, offering children, families, and recreational runners a gentler introduction to the Halloween spirit.
