The Zanzenberg MTB Rennen is a cross-country mountain bike race held in Dornbirn, Austria, typically in late spring on the Zanzenberg course. Organized by RV Dornbirn, the event has over two dozen editions. The weekend begins with races for young riders, including children’s and youth categories associated with series like the Alpencup and Austria Youngsters Cup. Following this, junior, U23, elite, and professional riders compete in international UCI C1 races.
The competition takes place in Zanzenberg and central Dornbirn. The primary XCO mountain bike races occur on the off-road course. In some years, an XCE Eliminator championship is held on the marketplace. The schedule can also feature kids’ XCO races, amateur and masters categories, a fun race, award ceremonies, and an evening concert, all under the Dornbirn Cycling Days umbrella. The organizing club is one of Austria’s oldest sports clubs, with over 300 members. It operates with volunteer efforts across mountain biking, cycle ball, cycling tourism, and social cycling initiatives.
