Rond Terrace, Parkes Way, and Acton provide this run with a distinct landmark setting, as the route passes Old and New Parliament Houses instead of utilizing back streets. The Canberra Times Fun Run has the relaxed atmosphere of a large local gathering, yet there is clear purpose among the participants, with over 5,000 runners "chasing their goals" and a palpable sense of "determination, adrenaline, and inspiration."
