Les Forges de la Forêt d'Anlier is a June trail event in Habay-la-Neuve, Belgium’s Walloon region, with almost the entire route shaded by trees. Participants can select from 7 km, 14 km, and 21 km trail distances, or choose a walking option to enjoy the forest setting without the competitive aspect.
The courses traverse the Anlier Forest, a significant forest area within the Belgian Ardennes, presenting a more challenging, hilly terrain than typically associated with Belgium. The 21 km route includes 450 m of elevation gain, the 14 km has 373 m, and the 7 km route still offers 150 m of climbing. The event emphasizes enjoyment, with many participants wearing costumes, a costume competition, course entertainment, and regional beers available at seven of the nine aid stations. All participants receive a T-shirt, and the day concludes with a meal and a dance party.
