Trail La Fontinoise is a trail race in Fontin, a village in the Ardennes region of Belgium near Esneux in Liège province. Runners choose from four distances: 9 km, 17 km, 24 km, or 35 km. Even the shortest route includes 200 meters of climbing, while the longest packs in 1100 meters, indicating this is a hilly off-road event rather than a flat road run.
The distance options make it suitable for newer trail runners, regular club runners, and people looking for a longer Ardennes effort. The 17 km route has 420 meters of elevation gain, the 24 km has 750 meters, and each course is capped at 200 participants. Entry fees are low compared with many trail races, with online payment by card or Bancontact and on-site registration possible for a small extra charge if places are still available.
