VK Heuvel-Loop

The VK Heuvel-Loop begins and ends at the VK Heuvel-Lo grounds in Wimmershof, Kessel-Lo, Leuven, Belgium. This May event in Vlaams-Brabant offers trail-style running with marked and officially timed routes of 7, 12, 18, and 25 kilometers, alongside an untimed 7 kilometer walk. The longer distances are predominantly off-road; the 25 km and 7 km routes are 70% unpaved, the 12 km is 65% unpaved, and the 18 km is 60% unpaved. The course crosses fields and forests surrounding Kessel-Lo and Lubbeek. Participants will encounter farm tracks, woodland paths, and sections where road rules remain in effect as the route is marked but not traffic-closed. Refreshment stations are available on the course, with a canteen offering snacks and drinks post-race. Timed runners receive a bib number, while walkers can complete the shorter course without timing. Showers and changing rooms are provided. Parking is located at CM Leuven on Platte Lostraat, with an 800-meter walk to the event site.
