1ª Corrida da Fogueira

The 1ª Corrida da Fogueira is a 5 km road race in São Lourenço da Mata, Pernambuco, Brazil, starting early morning from Rua do Rosário. Participants gather before 7:00 AM for what is presented as a local sports and community event, not primarily a long-distance competition. The same street is used for the start and finish, simplifying the setup for participants and onlookers. Celestriano Ultramaratonista organizes the race, welcoming families, friends, novice runners, and local athletes. All available spots sold out once the race reached its capacity. Trophies will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers overall, and the top three in the 14-29, 30-45, and 46+ age categories.
