Course des Ponts is a Geneva trail-running series that uses the city’s bridges, riverbanks, cliffs, and green corridors instead of a standard road loop. Organized by STAR Logistique, it follows the Rhône and also runs between the Rhône and the Arve, featuring nature trails within the city, sections through reserves, and climbs onto the hills of the Geneva vineyards. The program includes 15 km, 10 km, a 10 km company and university challenge, an 8 km walk, children’s races over 2 km and 1 km, and a 1 km parent-child run.
The route moves from the right bank to the left bank, offering runners several very Geneva viewpoints: high looks over Pont-Butin, a pass by the Ponts de l’Île, the Passerelle des Forces Motrices, and Bois-de-la-Bâtie. The 15 km race is capped at 200 runners, while the entire event lists a maximum of 2,700 bibs. The parent-child race allows adults to run 1 km with their children across the Geneva bridges, and the company or university challenge brings teams into the 10 km field. This is the race's 19th edition, giving it a solid history while maintaining a local, city-discovery feel.
