L'Ascension du Christ-Roi is a short mountain race in the municipality of Lens, Switzerland, run in autumn as the vineyards above the Rhône plain change color. The adult race covers 6.2 km and climbs 620 meters, making it a strenuous uphill effort rather than a quick village jog.
The adult route begins in Flanthey, ascending from the Crête de Vaas through vineyards toward Chelin. It continues through the Véreillaz forest, passes the Christ the King statue on Châtelard hill, and then descends into Lens for the finish. The event also features a children's course starting in La Bâge, winding through the narrow streets of Lens. Each child receives a t-shirt and medal, and participants are offered crepes and Morand syrups post-race.
