Mattmark Memorial 1965

The Mattmark Memorial is a half marathon in Switzerland's Saas valley, covering 21.1 km with 810 m of elevation gain. The race starts beside the round church in Saas-Balen, beginning in a village setting. From Saas-Balen, the route passes through Saas-Grund and Saas-Almagell, continuing toward Zermeiggern and ascending to the Mattmark dam. The final 7 km loop around Lake Mattmark provides a high-alpine finish after the valley villages. A shorter lake tour is available, along with a Nordic Walking / Fun category.
