Běh proti násilí translates to “Run Against Violence.” This is a charity run held in Prague 6, featuring a 5 km main race. Participants assemble on a meadow near the entrance to Obora Hvězda, a substantial park and former royal game reserve in Prague. The event benefits a Diakonie ČCE program assisting individuals affected by violence. Its core message has two aims: to aid victims of violence and to encourage those who perpetrate violence to alter their perspectives and actions.
The course begins with a direct path from the meadow into Obora Hvězda, making the race straightforward for casual participants. Children also participate, with shorter races organized by age group and ice cream provided to all finishers. The field comprises families, runners supporting charitable causes, and individuals seeking a straightforward public race with a distinct purpose; one past edition attracted 380 participants, setting records for both children’s and main race categories.
