Černovírský kros

Černovírský kros is a short hilly cross-country race in Černovír, a village area near Ústí nad Orlicí in the Pardubice Region. The main route is just under 5 km, so the race also carries the simple nickname “Pětka,” or “the five.” Runners start and finish by the U Bobše pub, with children or earlier categories starting first and the main field later in the morning. The course mixes asphalt with field roads and forest paths, so it is not a flat road 5K dressed up with a trail label. TJ Sokol Černovír organizes the race, entry is low-cost, and prizes are in kind rather than cash. It is part of the IscarEX Cup and has enough history behind it to have passed at least twenty editions.
