Chuchelský dostihový kros is a cross-country running race inside Chuchle Arena, the horse-racing course in Velká Chuchle on the southern edge of Prague. Runners race on grass, with short gravel sections where the route crosses the trotting track, and the main adult distance is 6 km. The program starts with children's races as short as 100 m and builds through youth categories before the main race, so the same venue serves tiny first-time runners, club athletes, and veteran competitors. SC Radotín Praha organizes the event, and it also serves as part of the Prague Cross Country Championships.
The unusual draw is the venue: the Chuchle racecourse opens to runners only once a year for this event, so people get to run directly on a track normally used for horse racing. The course is mostly flat, grassy, and open, with the start and finish both inside Chuchle Arena. The racecourse has also been used for the Czech Republic Cross Country Championships, which gives the local event a proper racing pedigree without making it feel elite-only. Chip timing is used, the best runners receive material prizes, and the practical setup is strong for a city race, with changing rooms, showers, a restaurant, public transport by bus or train, and a large free parking area.
