Hvězdonice - Ondřejov

Hvězdonice - Ondřejov is a short hill race in Central Bohemia, near the Sázava River, typically held in July. It begins at osada Merida in Hvězdonice at 10:30 AM and ascends 5.75 km to Ondřejov, with an elevation gain of 255 meters, making it more of a demanding uphill challenge than a flat 5K. The course ascends through a ravine, then crosses forest and meadow paths, including approximately 1 km on paved road and the final meters on a dirt track. TJ Sokol Senohraby organizes the race, which is included in both the Prague Hills Cup and the Podblanicko Runner Cup. It also functions as a preparatory event for the Central Bohemian Ski League's hill running season. The race has over twenty editions to its name and is dedicated to Pepa Spurný; diplomas for the top three finishers in each category are presented in his honor.
