Smaltovaný bažant

Smaltovaný bažant is a 1.5 km race held in late October in Heřmanův Městec, a town within the Chrudim district of the Pardubice Region. The 1.5 km distance is designated as “Pětka,” and the event is organized by Běžecký klub Heřmanův Městec. The run takes place in the local bažantnice, or pheasantry. This location is the source of the race's name and its lighthearted reference to running "while the rooster sleeps." It functions as the concluding event for earning the last points in the Mrdická liga, positioning it as a brief, local competition rather than a large-scale road race.
