Tyršův běh na Sokol is a 2 km hill race in Malá Skála, starting by the Sokolovna and finishing on the top of Sokol. The main race climbs 300 m, so the distance is short but the effort is concentrated. Runners set off one by one in interval starts after morning presentation. The event belongs to a wider local program from TJ Sokol Koberovy, with a 10-hour uphill race, a long-distance hike, a 5 km race, a one-hour race, and children’s races.
The route uses uneven paths with roots, holes, and stones, and runners should expect both climbing and rough footing rather than a smooth road effort. All interested runners are welcome, which gives it the feel of a local hill-running day rather than an elite-only event. The race has passed forty editions, so it has a long place in the Malá Skála running calendar.
