25. Freundschaftslauf 2026

The Freundschaftslauf is a running event held on a Sunday in June at the Bezirkssportanlage Mainz-Drais, starting and finishing at the district sports facility. LaufLeben Running Crew e.V. organizes the event, which features three distances: an 800 m Kids-Run, a 5 km race, and a 10 km race. Entry fees are kept low, with late registration available on race day for a small surcharge if spots remain. Payment can be made by cash or cashless methods. The routes depart Mainz-Drais along farm, meadow, and field paths, with some asphalt sections. The terrain is gently rolling, not flat; the 5 km course includes approximately 40 meters of elevation gain, and the 10 km course has about 90 meters. All children participating in the Kids-Run receive recognition. Awards for the 5 km and 10 km races are given to overall winners, age-group winners, and three-person teams in men's, women's, and mixed categories. Proceeds from the event benefit the Kinder Palliative Care Team Mainz, providing a local charity focus.
