The Bad Kohlgruber Schluchtlauf begins and ends at the Sport- und Freizeitzentrum am Erle in Bad Kohlgrub. Participants run the Rantscher Weiherrunde, with options for 5 km (one lap) or 10 km (two laps), making it suitable as a short local event rather than an extended trail competition. The name translates to “gorge run,” and the path does go through the Waldschlucht, though it is not a mountain race. The course features gentle hills and a pre-alpine setting, utilizing farm tracks, woodland trails, and some paved sections.
