42. Schusterlauf

Schusterlauf is a long-running community race day in Preetz, Schleswig-Holstein, offering four distances in one morning: a 666 m Bambinilauf for small children, a 2.5 km Schülerlauf, the 5 km Citylauf - Zippel's Cup, and a 16 km run. The event takes place in September and anticipates approximately 1,700 runners, with support from about 100 volunteers. The race has deep local roots, with 41 previous editions held in Preetz. The 5 km and 16 km courses are available as GPX files for Garmin Connect, and the finish area features a bag-drop truck on the market square. A distinctive extra is the preparation offer with Yannick von Soosten, a four-time Kiel Lauf winner and one of Schleswig-Holstein's fastest distance runners, who is also entered in the 16 km race.
