9. CTF vom Main in den Vordertaunus

The CTF vom Main in den Vordertaunus begins at Stadion am Sommerdamm in Rüsselsheim, Germany, next to the Main River. As a Country-Tourenfahrt, participants engage in an off-road cycling day, distinct from a road race. RV Opel 1888 Rüsselsheim e.V. organizes the event, with departures available from 08:00 to 10:00 and controls concluding at 14:30. Riders can select a 40 km route with approximately 410 meters of elevation gain or a 58 km route with about 710 meters. The longer option provides a more pronounced experience of the Taunus region's terrain. The courses lead from Rüsselsheim into the Hofheimer and Wiesbadener Staatsforst. Individual participants register at the start, while pre-registered groups are tallied separately, with prizes for the three largest. The club incorporated off-road cycling into its recreational offerings due to increasing local demand, and this event upholds that expansion beyond traditional road cycling events.
