The Feuchtwanger Triathlon is a sprint-distance event held in Feuchtwangen, a town in Middle Franconia, Bavaria. The primary individual competition is designed for amateur and age-group athletes, featuring a 500 m swim, 20 km bike ride, and 5 km run. Approximately 150 individual participants are anticipated, indicating a local-scale race rather than a large field. The event is organized by the triathlon department of TuS Feuchtwangen and is currently in its eleventh year.
The same sprint format is available as a team relay, where each member completes one discipline: swimming, cycling, or running. This relay field is projected to include around 60 participants. The race takes place within Feuchtwangen’s historic old-town area. Additionally, the event now features a student and youth cross-triathlon, offering a version tailored for younger athletes. With individual, relay, and youth categories, the triathlon accommodates first-time participants, club athletes, families, and local competitors seeking a short-distance race in northern Bavaria.
