The Schwetzinger Höllgrund-Tour begins at the Schimper Gemeinschaftsschule in Schwetzingen, with road cyclists heading towards the Odenwald. Starts are available from 7:00 AM. RSV Kurpfalz organizes this traditional German Radtourenfahrt, offering multiple distance options: 70 km, 108 km, 153 km, and a 200 km marathon route. Additionally, 25 km and 40 km routes are available for families and e-bike riders.
The name derives from the challenging ascent through the Höllgrundtal, from Gaimühle to Stümpfelbrunn, encountered on the 153 km and 200 km routes. The longest route measures approximately 199-200 km with an elevation gain of 2,640 meters. Shorter routes up to 108 km are marked, while longer routes require GPX files. The 200 km route can also be completed as a guided group ride targeting 29-30 km/h. Refreshments are provided at the start/finish and at staffed control points along the courses.
