Sommerløbet Aalborg Zoo is a run and walk held in the evening within Aalborg Zoo in Aalborg, Denmark. Shorter family routes and walking events begin before the main running field. The race offers a broad distance selection for a zoo event: 2.5 km for families, 5 km, 10 km, 15 km, and a half marathon. Walking is available on the 5 km, 10 km, and 15 km courses. Runners on 5 km and longer distances start later, with the event concluding after three hours for all distances.
The course utilizes the zoo’s paths and animal enclosures. Organizers state the route is less challenging than in previous years. A portion of the proceeds supports nature conservation projects for endangered species and their habitats, linking the race's purpose to its setting. Participants receive a metal medal, and early registration includes the runner's name and distance on the bib. Aid stations provide water, juice, fruit, and sweets. Finish times are recorded manually on Sportstiming post-race. The half marathon is eligible for Klub 100 Halvmarathon. The event features a PureGym warm-up, music, visual effects, professional photos and video, and a spectator ticket for an area near the zoo entrance.
