The Aitana Tour begins in Callosa d'en Sarrià, Alicante, Spain, leading road cyclists into the mountains of the Valencian Community. Participants can select a 165 km Gran Fondo route featuring over 3,350 meters of elevation gain, or a 100 km Medio Fondo route with approximately 1,900 meters. Even the shorter option presents a significant climbing challenge, distinct from a casual sportive.
The longer route includes several named climbs: Tudons ascends 12 km to 1,024 meters with gradients reaching 11%; Confrides covers 4.6 km to an elevation of 970 meters; and Coll de Rates extends for 6.7 km with sections reaching 14.1%. Gran Fondo participants will also tackle Sa Creueta, a 12.5 km climb to 780 meters, gaining 624 meters with gradients up to 14%. The Gran Fondo provides five feed stations. For its fifth anniversary, the event offers a special jersey to riders who have completed all previous editions.
