Azpeitiko San Silbestrie is a year-end running race in Azpeitia, Gipuzkoa. The main race covers approximately 6.2 km. The current program also includes a 300 m inclusive race and a 3 km short race preceding the main 6 km event. Azkoitia-Azpeitia XEYE organizes the race, fostering a local and social atmosphere. It is presented as a way to conclude the year in good physical condition and with friends.
The event attracts one of the larger San Silvestre fields in Euskadi, with over 900 classified finishers in a recent edition. The results show a strong mix of men and women. A non-competitive option is available, welcoming participants who are not solely focused on racing for places. The race has a long history, documented for at least twenty editions. Repeat winners and local podium finishers contribute to its distinct Azpeitia character, differentiating it from a typical holiday fun run.
