The Laredo Christmas Race is a Christmas Eve road race in Laredo, Cantabria, held in the early evening as the town begins its holiday night. The 6-kilometer race begins at Casa de Cultura Dr. Velasco. Over 600 runners participate in the main field, with approximately 800 athletes across all categories in its twenty-second edition.
The route consists of one short loop of about 750 meters and two larger loops of 2,625 meters. It follows streets and avenues including Comandante Villar, Marqués de Comillas, Avenida de Cantabria, Carlos V, Avenida de La Libertad, Palmanova, and Avenida de Francia. Club Compite y disfruta now organizes the race, having taken over from Peña Racinguista Piculacha, which organized the first 19 editions. The event recently introduced cash prizes for the top five men and women overall.
