The Media Maratón Azuqueca is a road race held in Azuqueca de Henares, within the Spanish province of Guadalajara. It features two officially certified distances: a 10K and a half marathon covering 21.097 km. The race begins in the morning, organized by the Ayuntamiento de Azuqueca de Henares. Bib pickup and race services are based at the San Miguel sports complex. Now in its eighteenth edition, the event is popular enough that entries can sell out.
The race amenities cater to club runners and local amateurs, offering chip timing, showers, changing rooms, a cloakroom service, massage, a technical shirt, a runner’s bag, and a finisher medal. Participants also receive coffee and pastries before the race and a meal afterward, contributing to a local social atmosphere extending beyond the finish line. Prizes are awarded across various categories, including cash prizes for the top three male and female finishers overall.
