Nocturna Nigrán is an evening road race held in Nigrán, a coastal municipality in Pontevedra, Galicia. It is located approximately 10 km from Vigo and 20 km from the Portuguese border. Participants can select either a 5 km or 10 km distance. Both distances are classified as non-competitive, making the event suitable for those seeking a timed community run rather than a competitive race. The event is open to registered participants of any nationality or sex, provided they are at least 14 years old and possess the necessary fitness to complete their chosen distance.
The course consists entirely of asphalt and begins and ends at the Campo das Redes parking area, adjacent to the promenade and Playa América. This positions the race along Nigrán’s Atlantic coast, within the Val Miñor region situated between Baiona, Gondomar, and Vigo. The local geography provides a sheltered coastal environment: the Cíes and Estelas islands partially shield the area from the Atlantic's force before it reaches Nigrán, while higher inland terrain lies to the municipality's rear.
