OTSO Travessa d'Encamp begins and ends in Plaça dels Arínsols, making Encamp, Andorra's center the hub for a weekend of mountain running. Held annually in May since 1983, it stands as Andorra's longest-established mountain race. The event offers a variety of distances, from short trail runs to ultra-marathons, including 7K, 12K, 21K, 42K, and 84K courses, a vertical kilometer, and races for children.
The shorter races venture into mountain landscapes: the 7K circles Engolasters Lake, the 12K proceeds towards Agols Refuge, and the vertical kilometer covers over 1,000 meters of ascent in under 5 kilometers. The 21K is designed for seasoned mountain runners, featuring approximately 1,800 meters of elevation change, three aid stations, and a six-hour cut-off. Children aged 6 to 11 participate in their own event, while the longer distances and the Spanish Ultra Cup affiliation attract participants seeking a demanding Andorran mountain challenge.
