Port de Blanes

The Travessia Popular del Port de Blanes is a 900-metre open-water swim held within the port of Blanes, located on the Girona coast. The Ajuntament de Blanes organizes this event, which is designated as non-competitive, focusing on participation over racing for a top finish. The swim involves a short harbour crossing, making it more accessible than extended sea swims while still offering an open-water environment. Now in its 81st edition, the event is part of a long-standing local tradition, not merely a single beach activity. Although the format is popular and non-competitive, classifications and results are still recorded, providing swimmers with a record of their participation.
