San Silvestre Mostoleña is a New Year’s road-running event held in Móstoles, southwest of Madrid. The primary adult race covers 8 km, complemented by children’s races ranging from 300 m to 2.2 km, making it suitable as a local family event and a club competition.
The city’s streets host close to 2,000 participants from Móstoles, the greater Madrid region, and clubs across Spain. The races employ chip timing and are overseen by Madrid Athletics Federation judges. The city council organizes the event in conjunction with Asociación Atlética Móstoles, with contributions from local groups, sponsors, and neighborhood businesses.
