The 10 km de Falaise is a road race held in Falaise, Calvados, Normandy, during early July. The primary event is a 10 km race commencing at 10:30 from Guibray stadium. Shorter 2 km and 5 km races are also part of the program. EESF Athlétisme, the local athletics club, organizes the event with modest entry fees: 13 euros for the 10 km and 12 euros for the 5 km.
The 10 km route follows a 5 km city circuit, which participants run twice. The organizer characterizes the course as flat throughout. Approximately 350 to 400 runners are anticipated, including both amateurs and professional athletes. The race has completed over twenty editions, drawing participants from outside Falaise. For the organizing club, the event is significant as it enhances their visibility, unites partners, and can generate a modest profit. The 10 km race also serves as a qualifying event for the French championships, offering a practical incentive for faster runners.
