Chatel ZombiRun

Chatel ZombiRun takes participants through Châtellerault in western France after dark, near Halloween. This is a town road race offering two distances: the 10 km Zombirun and the 5 km Jack la Lanterne. Both begin in the early evening, starting close to each other, with an affordable entry fee for each distance. The atmosphere is intentionally playful, not competitive, featuring pumpkin-themed attire and encouragement for participants to wear costumes. The course follows town streets, including a section along the Vienne riverbanks, a passage through Châtellerault's center, and a mild ascent on Boulevard Aristide Briand. The race embraces its zombie theme with the phrase “Attention les zombies Vienne à toi!”, a play on the river’s name. It also supports a cause, with one euro from each registration donated to a local mutual aid association.
