The Corrida de Thiais is a December road race held in Thiais, Val-de-Marne, south of Paris. It begins at the Palais Omnisports de Thiais on place Vincent Van Gogh and concludes at the Stade Jack Baudequin. The event offers multiple distances: a 10 km and a 5 km for participants over 14, a 1.5 km for ages 8 to 14, and a 5 km walk for all ages.
The race functions as a community event with a distinct end-of-year atmosphere, not solely a club contest. Costumes are permitted, a non-timed option is available, and all finishers get a T-shirt, diploma, and medal. Pacemakers from the 20 km de Paris assist those aiming for a specific time. Families, children, walkers, and new runners participate together. Now in its 25th edition, the event benefits the Association des Enfants Malades, adding a charitable cause to its local sports focus.
