Σχετικά με τον αγώνα
The Duathlon de Troyes is a city duathlon held in Troyes, Aube, in France's Grand Est region. It typically takes place in late March or early April, employing the standard run-bike-run structure on paved roads for both running and cycling segments. The event features multiple distances, including XS, S, TOP, and a popular option, catering to various athletic abilities. The TOP format also serves as the French Adult Duathlon Championship, comprising a 5 km run, a 20 km bike ride, and a 2.5 km run. The XS version is shorter, with 2.5 km of running, a 10 km bike leg, and a final 1.25 km run.
The race is situated in the historic center of Troyes, known for its medieval half-timbered architecture, the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul, and the Musée d'Art Moderne, enhancing the overall weekend experience. A French youth duathlon championship is also part of the event, bringing younger athletes to compete alongside adults. The event is locally known as “Cheval de Troyes,” a nickname referencing the city's name. Post-race, participants can explore Troyes' old town, with the Champagne vineyards and the Parc Naturel de la Forêt d’Orient accessible within an hour's drive.
