La Sévanaise concludes in the Sévan gardens with a refreshment stop, a beer bar, and pool access, indicating this Pertuis race is not solely focused on timing. It is an annual running event in the Vaucluse, held each May in the Sud Luberon and Pays d’Aigues area. Participants select between an 8 km course and a longer route of approximately 15.4 to 15.7 km, both incorporating trail, natural paths, and some road running. The 8 km option is the more popular choice, suitable for beginners or leisure runners, while the longer course is intended for those seeking a more substantial run without significant elevation gain.
The start and finish are located at the Best Western Sévan Parc Hôtel on the Route de la Bastidonne, near Pertuis. The course crosses open countryside and fields around the South Luberon, featuring a rolling profile rather than steep inclines: the 8 km course has 12 m of elevation gain, and the 15.4 km version has 124 m. Past events attracted over 300 runners for the 8 km and more than 200 for the longer course, with amateur and experienced runners participating in the same event area. Music, partner stalls, volunteers, and food stops are part of the day, and the post-race buffet may feature plancha cooking, foie gras, and oysters.
