About
Les Foulées du Marais is a trail and nature-running event held at La Maison Bleue in Haute-Goulaine, near Nantes in western France. The 20 km race is part of a larger program that includes 5 km, 10 km, and 30 km options, a 30 km relay, a charity walk, and a kids' race. It takes place in June. The 20 km is primarily a trail race, with approximately 85% of the course utilizing marked trails and public-road sections connecting them.
The route begins and ends at La Maison Bleue, passing through a Natura 2000 protected area, offering a natural course experience. Trails are marked with tape and arrows, and marshals manage road crossings. The 20 km follows a semi-self-sufficient format. An aid station is available at the 10 km mark, but participants must carry their own water and energy food, and a personal cup is required. Water and food are provided at the finish. The event is organized by the running section of the Amicale Laïque de Haute-Goulaine and is listed on the UFOLEP 44 calendar, contributing to its local club-race atmosphere with multiple distances starting from the same location.
