Monts et Moulins is a cyclotourist ride based in Roubaix, held in early October from the Roubaix velodrome. It is the Vélo Club de Roubaix Cyclotourisme’s second classic ride of the year. Road routes are offered at about 35, 60, 85, and 120 km, with gravel options of about 95 and 115 km. The shorter road routes feature moderate climbing, while the longest route is for riders seeking a challenging day with approximately 1,150 m of elevation gain.
The long course travels toward the Monts de Frasnes and into Belgium. It passes six mills and includes climbs associated with the Tour of Flanders, such as Mont de l’Enclus, Kwaremont, Hotondberg, Taaienberg, Muziekberg, Bois d’Hubermont, La Croisette, and Col de la Croix Jubaru. The event is in its 50th edition and has introduced a classic-bike version on the shorter distances for non-carbon bikes, alongside standard entries. Participants have shared the day with professionals from the Van Rysel Roubaix team. Pre-registered riders may receive a ticket for the Masters World Track Championship at the Stab Velodrome.
