The Trail des Légendes de Brocéliande begins next to Lac de Trémelin in Iffendic, Ille-et-Vilaine, Brittany. It takes place in September within the Brocéliande Trail Area. This trail-running event centers on the forest and its Arthurian associations, offering race distances from short nature runs to challenging mountain-style courses.
The longest distances are Excalibur, approximately 52–54 km with 1,300 m of elevation gain, and La Dame du Lac, 42 km with 1,000 m of elevation gain. Participants can also select the Graal at 26 km, Merlin at 14 km, Viviane at 12 km, and Arthur at roughly 8.5–9 km. This variety accommodates relay teams, seasoned trail runners, and individuals seeking a shorter forest race. The event's appeal is enhanced by its thematic names: Excalibur, Merlin, Viviane, Arthur, and the Grail connect the event to the legend-rich identity of the Brocéliande forest. The Viviane loop is offered as a free race.
