The Trail Saint Chamarand begins in the village of Saint-Chamarand, located in France’s Lot department. The castle square served as the assembly point for a recent running. This 15 km race, named Lou Miladiou, is part of a modest trail program that also features a 10 km run, a 31 km run, a 10 km hike, and a children’s race. The event typically centers on a June trail day, distinct from road races.
The course winds through a nature trail connecting hill crests and the river. The 15 km route is designed for runners seeking one or two ascents. The shorter Lou Boudiou serves as an introductory trail, while the longer Lou Diablé Mé Crame extends to 31 km with 1000 meters of elevation gain. The Saint-Chamarand festival committee is responsible for organizing the event, which recently attracted close to 450 participants for its races and hikes.
