Triathlon de l'Omois

On the banks of the Marne near Château-Thierry, the Triathlon de l'Omois gathers swimmers, road cyclists, and runners for an annual late-summer race. The programme offers short-distance and medium-distance triathlons, with solo entries and three-person relay teams. The medium race follows the classic 1.5 km swim, 40 km road bike, and 10 km road run format, while the shorter option begins with a 750 m swim. Children have their own courses, ensuring the day includes participants beyond experienced triathletes. The race has been held for over 20 years, organised by the Triathlon Club de l'Omois with volunteer assistance. High-level competitors come from across France, and amateurs participate in the same event. Supporters and locals gather along the Marne to watch the race, creating a town sports day atmosphere with serious competition at the front.
